Job summary

Arcis Golf is seeking a 1st Assistant Golf Professional at Ancala Country Club in Scottsdale, AZ. The role supports day-to-day golf operations and works with the Director of Golf to deliver an exceptional experience for members and guests.

The candidate should be an active PGA member or apprentice, with 5+ years of golf operations, and possess strong communication and customer service skills. A supportive team environment with comprehensive benefits is offered.

• Excellent communication and people skills are essential.
• Customer service focus is needed to support members and guests.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all golf operation phases in coordination with the Director of Golf and manage controls for players, guests, golf cars, and lockers.
• Monitor the reservation system and pace of play to ensure smooth operations.
• Develop, manage and oversee tournament operations.
• Assist in merchandise purchasing and receiving.
• Assist in training, supervising and motivating the golf operations staff to meet facility objectives.

As the 1st Assistant Golf Professional, you are responsible for supporting in the management of day-to-day golf operations. On the job:

• Oversee all phases of the golf operation in conjunction with the Director of Golf Track and verify all players and guests, golf cars, lockers, and other charges necessary, and facilitate proper controls
• Monitor the reservation system and pace of play
• Develop, manage and oversee tournament operations
• Assist in merchandise purchasing and receiving
• Assist in training, supervising and motivating the golf operations staff to meet facility objectives

Preferred Experience and Talents:

• PGA Member or PGA Apprentice in good standing
• 2 years of college or equivalent experience
• 5-plus years of golf operations experience
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Customer service focused
