Job summary

Referment is partnering with a global investment firm to hire a specialist for the Firmwide Data team. The role focuses on managing data workflows, coordinating sourcing, and vendor relationships across regions to enable informed investment decisions.

You will identify data sources, advise investment professionals, negotiate terms with vendors, and keep records of subscriptions and contracts to support audit-ready operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 1–4 years of experience in data management or related field.
• Interest in how data is used in investment, research, or business processes, with the aptitude to learn technical concepts.
• Keen attention to detail and the consistency to run recurring operational tasks reliably.
• Professionalism and sound judgment with external vendors, with a practical, commercially aware approach.
• Familiarity with financial markets, banking, research environments, or publicly traded data companies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage workflows across the data life cycle, including sourcing, legal and compliance coordination, vendor relationship management, and collection of stakeholder feedback.
• Identify data sources that support business goals and research needs, and advise investment professionals on potential solutions.
• Negotiate commercial terms while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
• Keep accurate records of subscriptions, entitlements, contracts, and vendor interactions to preserve institutional knowledge.
• Analyze data usage, costs, and business utility to consolidate subscriptions, improve adoption, and inform renewal decisions.
• Maintain audit readiness, own audit coordination, and resolve data issues collaboratively across regions and functions.
