Job summary

Jain Global, LLC is seeking a Data and Research Management Analyst to join its Vendor Management team in New York. You will own inventory management of data and research assets and oversee invoice processing across a global vendor base, working with Finance, Technology, and business stakeholders.

The role requires 3–5 years of market data administration experience, hands-on with Optimize Spend (FITS), strong Excel skills, and excellent attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in market data administration, vendor management, or market data operations within financial services.
  • Hands-on experience with Optimize Spend (FITS) from The Roberts Group.
  • Experience managing market data inventories and processing vendor invoices.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the firm's data and research inventory, ensuring the accuracy of subscriptions, users, services, and entitlements within Optimize Spend (FITS).
  • Process market data adds, changes, transfers, and terminations while maintaining complete audit trails.
  • Review, validate, reconcile, allocate, and coordinate payment of vendor invoices, resolving discrepancies with vendors, Finance, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support monthly accruals, spend reporting, and budget tracking activities.
  • Reconcile vendor entitlement reports against internal records and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Produce operational reporting, forecasting and metrics related to inventory, spending, and vendor activity.
  • Partner with Vendor Management during contract renewals by validating inventory, usage, and billing information.
  • Maintain documentation of data sources, workflows, and governance processes.
  • Manage and support exchange audits and compliance queries.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve data quality, and enhance operational efficiency.

About the Role

Jain Global is seeking a Data and Research Management Analyst to join its Vendor Management team. This role is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the firm's data and research portfolio, with primary ownership of inventory management and invoice processing across a global vendor base. Working closely with Finance, Technology, and business stakeholders, the successful candidate will ensure data and research assets are accurately maintained, vendor invoices are processed efficiently, and operational data supports effective financial controls and decision-making. This position is ideal for an organized, analytical professional who thrives in a fast-paced investment management environment and has hands-on experience with Optimize Spend (FITS).

  • 3-5 years of experience in market data administration, vendor management, or market data operations within a hedge fund, asset manager, investment bank, or other financial services firm.
  • Hands-on experience with Optimize Spend (FITS) from The Roberts Group.
  • Experience managing market data inventories and processing vendor invoices.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Working knowledge of data and research vendors, including Bloomberg, LSEG, FactSet, ICE, S&P Global, Morningstar, among others.
  • Experience supporting market data governance, licensing, or entitlement management.
  • Working knowledge of reporting and visualization tools.
  • Cross-functional experience with Finance, Procurement, and Technology teams.
