Mission Staffing is seeking a Data & Research Management Analyst for a leading global investment management firm in New York. You will own the accuracy of vendor data and optimize spend across subscriptions, services, and entitlements.

You will process vendor changes, reconcile invoices, support accruals and budgeting, and build dashboards for inventory and spend metrics while supporting contract renewals and audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3–5 years in market data administration or vendor management at a financial services firm.
  • Direct experience with Optimize Spend (FITS) from The Roberts Group.
  • Experience managing market data inventories and vendor invoicing.
  • Strong Excel skills: PivotTables, XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-tempo environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own the accuracy of the firm’s data and research inventory in FITS.
  • Process adds/changes/transfers/terminations of market data services with audit trails.
  • Review, validate, reconcile, and allocate vendor invoices; coordinate payments.
  • Contribute to monthly accruals, spend reporting, and budget tracking.
  • Reconcile vendor entitlement reports against internal records and flag optimizations.
  • Build operational reports, forecasts, and metrics on inventory, spend, and vendor activity.
  • Support contract renewals by validating usage, inventory, and billing data.
  • Document data sources, workflows, and governance processes.
  • Assist with exchange audits and compliance inquiries.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve data quality and efficiency.

Job Description:
  • Own the accuracy of the firm’s data and research inventory — subscriptions, users, services, and entitlements — within Optimize Spend (FITS)
  • Process adds, changes, transfers, and terminations of market data services, maintaining clean audit trails
  • Review, validate, reconcile, and allocate vendor invoices; coordinate payment and resolve discrepancies with vendors, Finance, and internal teams
  • Contribute to monthly accruals, spend reporting, and budget tracking
  • Reconcile vendor entitlement reports against internal records and flag optimization opportunities
  • Build operational reports, forecasts, and metrics covering inventory, spend, and vendor activity
  • Support colleagues during contract renewals by validating usage, inventory, and billing data
  • Maintain documentation for data sources, workflows, and governance processes
  • Assist with exchange audits and compliance inquiries
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve data quality and operational efficiency
Requirements / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 3–5 years in market data administration, vendor management, or market data operations at a hedge fund, asset manager, investment bank, or similar financial services firm
  • Direct, hands‑on experience with Optimize Spend (FITS) from The Roberts Group
  • Background managing market data inventories and handling vendor invoicing
  • Strong Excel skills — PivotTables, XLOOKUP, and general data analysis
  • Sharp attention to detail and strong organizational instincts
  • Solid analytical, communication, and problem-solving ability
  • Comfort managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a high‑tempo environment
