Job summary

Everpure is seeking a full-time embedded firmware simulation engineer to join our device firmware team. You will develop high-fidelity virtual platforms that abstract hardware behaviors to accelerate SSD firmware development, including building and maintaining firmware simulation environments (e.g., QEMU) and modeling PCIe/NVMe interfaces.

Collaborate with ASIC vendors to validate firmware against RTL, automate CI/CD pipelines, and translate complex schematics into robust software models.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and scaling high-fidelity simulation software for embedded, firmware, or hardware-software systems.
• Expert-level proficiency in C/C++ and Python for firmware and modeling development.
• Experience with simulation/emulation tools (QEMU/SystemC/TLM/IS simulators).
• Strong understanding of firmware-hardware interaction and translating schematics/data sheets into software models.
• Knowledge of PCIe/NVMe storage protocols and embedded software bring-up/RTOS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain firmware simulation environments (e.g., QEMU) to enable shift-left testing.
• Create high-fidelity hardware models to abstract controller logic, PCIe/NVMe, and NAND behavior.
• Design and implement instrumentation tools to profile performance and analyze failures.
• Automate CI/CD pipelines to integrate simulation platforms into firmware release/validation.
• Collaborate with ASIC vendors to validate firmware against RTL and digital designs.
