Job summary

Eaton’s Energy Transition Team is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern / Co-op in Moon Township, PA for Summer 2027. The role supports the design and development of connected home energy management systems and power management products, with involvement from initiation through manufacturing launch.

You will perform CAD modeling, FEA, prototyping, and testing while collaborating with engineers to develop robust mechanical designs under Eaton’s Pro-Launch process.

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering or similar with graduation no later than August 2029.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Relocation is not provided; must be located within 50 miles of Moon Township, PA.
• Eaton will not sponsor CPT/OPT/STEM OPT or visa status for this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical engineering design and analysis using CAD solid modeling, FEA, and kinematic simulations.
• Analyze and resolve complex mechanical issues with creative design solutions.
• Design parts and assemblies using various materials; package boards and components into final product.
• Support new product development, prototype testing, and design-to-industrialization activities.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
