Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking Electrical Design Engineering Interns and Co-Ops to support development activities across North American sites. Work with an experienced team on high-performance power conversion, metrology, or controls solutions at sites in CO, MN, MA, or CA.

Post-graduate students from listed universities are preferred. The role includes hands-on lab work, circuit analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet schedule and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Candidates pursuing MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Electronics or Controls.
• GPA greater than 3.25 prior to start date.
• Experience in lab environments and debugging circuits is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in core team to meet schedule, cost, and customer satisfaction goals.
• Assist in development, testing, and debugging of prototype power supply units.
• Analyze test data against functional and performance specs.
• Interface with internal departments to ensure cost and schedule goals are met.
• Design analog and digital circuits, EMI filters, and power circuits.
• Develop and implement control algorithms and analyze magnetic components.
