Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking Electrical Design Engineering Interns and Co-Ops to support development activities across our North American sites. Successful candidates will intern at Advanced Energy’s Colorado site (Fort Collins) or other U.S.

locations and work with an experienced engineering team on high-performance power conversion, metrology, or controls solutions. Applicants should be pursuing MS or Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a lab environment debugging circuits and evaluating product spec compliance using test equipment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Windows-based platforms and MS Office; familiarity with design tools.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to meet schedules and prioritize with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Participate in core team activities to meet schedule and customer goals.
• Assist in development, testing, and debugging of prototype power supplies.
• Analyze test data against functional specifications.
• Interface with internal departments to ensure cost and schedule targets.
• Design analog/digital circuits, EMI filters, and power circuits.
• Develop and implement control algorithms and model devices/systems.
