Job summary

Broadcom's Data Center Solutions Group (DCSG) seeks a Firmware Engineer to design, implement, and debug low-level firmware for storage controllers with a primary focus on RAID functionality on ARM processors. You will work across the full development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver features aligned with customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in CS, ECE, or EE as required.
• Strong programming skills in C; Assembly language desirable.
• Working knowledge of embedded processors - ARM.
• Experience using AI/LLM based tools within embedded firmware workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop new firmware features and maintain storage firmware.
• Work on storage products supporting PCIe, NVMe and SAS/SATA protocols.
• Support validation and firmware release activities.
• Analyze logs to root cause functional, performance and data integrity issues.
• Participate in firmware design and review sessions.
• Collaborate with hardware and validation teams for system integration.
• Troubleshoot low-level firmware and hardware interaction issues.
