Job summary

Broadcom Inc. is seeking a Firmware Engineer for our Data Center Solutions Group to design, implement and debug low-level firmware for storage controllers, focusing on RAID functionality on ARM-based processors.

You will contribute across the full development lifecycle and collaborate with hardware, validation and software teams. The role emphasizes strong C programming, ARM familiarity, and the use of AI-assisted tools in firmware workflows, with a competitive base salary and equity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, ECE, or EE with 2+ years of related experience, or Master’s in CS, ECE, or EE
• Strong programming skills in C; assembly language desirable
• Working knowledge of embedded ARM processors and firmware workflows

Responsibilities

• Develop new features and maintain firmware for storage products
• Work on storage products supporting PCIe, NVMe and/or SAS/SATA protocols
• Support validation and firmware release activities
• Gather and analyze logs to root cause functional, performance and data integrity issues
• Participate in design reviews for storage product features
• Collaborate with hardware and validation teams for system integration
• Troubleshoot firmware and hardware interactions using DSTREAM and analyzers
