Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Firmware Engineer II to design, prototype, test, and troubleshoot embedded systems for real-time applications. You will collaborate with engineers globally, develop test plans, and use lab equipment to validate designs.

The role requires 2+ years in embedded C/C++, experience with LabVIEW and CI/CD, and travel up to 10%. On-site position with opportunities to work across departments and contribute to cutting-edge power tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of embedded C/C++ experience for embedded systems.
• Experience with DevOps, automated testing (LabView), CI/CD, HIL, TestStand.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, test, and troubleshoot embedded systems for real-time applications.
• Develop and execute test plans for firmware and subsystems.
• Use oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, and data acquisition equipment.
• Conduct experiments, simulations, and analyze data to draw conclusions.
• Track project progress and communicate status to teams and management.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Collaborate with suppliers for component selection and input on future needs.
• Lead technical meetings and presentations.
• Understand MILWAUKEE TOOL development and manufacturing processes for mass production.
• Design and qualify solutions to UL, CEC, CE, and ANSI standards.
