Harbinger Motors Inc. is seeking a skilled Software Engineer, Firmware to design and implement bare-metal and RTOS-based firmware for advanced EV motor control systems.

You0 will push hardware to its limits, achieving nanosecond-level determinism, safety, and efficiency in powertrains. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related field.
• 3+ years of embedded firmware development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ for resource-constrained embedded systems.
• Hands-on experience with ARM Cortex‑M microcontrollers or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of motor control algorithms, DSP, control theory, and PID tuning.
• Familiarity with CAN, SPI, I2C, UART interfaces.
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly deterministic embedded firmware for EV motor control systems (bare-metal/RTOS).
• Configure and optimize BSPs and write low-level hardware drivers.
• Develop and tune control algorithms including high-frequency FOC.
• Optimize CPU efficiency, reduce interrupt latency, manage memory footprint.
• Perform rigorous testing and validation using real-time simulation and HIL environments.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and power electronics teams for integration.
• Create and maintain thorough firmware documentation.
