Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Firmware Engineer on the Manufacturing Test team to develop platforms for testing at the lowest levels (I2C, SPI, CAN, UART, USB) and to automate test execution.

You will work on embedded Linux, RTOS, and bare-metal environments, debug data acquisition challenges, and contribute to scalable automation, throughput, and data analytics, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ship high-quality products.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in CS/CE/EE or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong C coding ability for embedded systems.
• Experience integrating microcontrollers with analog and digital sensors.
• Experience developing firmware in bare-metal, RTOS environments, and embedded Linux.
• Solid debugging and board bring-up skills.
• Familiarity with USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232/RS485, Ethernet.

Responsibilities

• Build and test firmware for microcontroller platforms interfacing to robots.
• Develop low-level firmware/software for embedded systems on hardware platforms.
• Enable device-side validation using SSH, gRPC, and debugging tools.
• Debug across electrical, firmware, and software boundaries for production.
• Engage in DFT/DFM reviews with EE and firmware teams.
