Job summary
Anduril Industries is seeking a Firmware Engineer on the Manufacturing Test team to develop platforms interfacing with our products at the lowest levels (I2C, SPI, CAN, UART, USB). You’ll contribute to test automation for embedded Linux, RTOS, and bare-metal platforms, advancing data acquisition and debugging capabilities.
You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to push automation, throughput, and analytics, ensuring high-quality production readiness and scalable test solutions
Qualifications
- BS or MS in CS/CE/EE or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong C coding ability for embedded systems.
- Experience integrating microcontrollers with analog and digital sensors.
- Experience developing firmware in bare-metal, RTOS environments, and embedded Linux.
- Solid debugging, board bring-up, and best practices.
- Familiar with common bus protocols (USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, RS485, Ethernet).
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Build firmware/software tests for hosts/clients to verify form, fit and function.
- Develop low-level firmware for microcontroller platforms interfacing to robots or data acquisition tools.
- Create device-side validation for system features using SSH and gRPC and debug tools.
- Debug across electrical, firmware, and software boundaries and streamline to SOPs for production.
- Participate in DFT/DFM reviews with EE and firmware teams.
