Job summary

Brady Engraving Solutions seeks a firmware engineer to design, implement, and test real-time embedded software for laser marking systems. You will work on CPU firmware, embedded Linux kernels, and driver integration, collaborating with hardware teams to enable EtherNet/IP, Profinet, and IIoT capabilities.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s in a technical field and 2+ years of real-time embedded experience using C/C++, RTOS, and embedded Linux.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 2+ years in real-time embedded development.
• Experience with RTOS/IPC and Embedded Linux driver development.
• Proven hardware debugging skills and familiarity with Ethernet-based protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design and test real-time firmware for embedded CPU platforms and boards using C/C++.
• Develop and maintain embedded Linux kernels, drivers, and system software.
• Collaborate with hardware team to bring up prototypes and integrate EtherNet/IP, Profinet, IIoT standards.
• Support firmware APIs for remote equipment control and automation.
• Contribute to firmware architecture and software design decisions.
