Job summary

MSD (Meso Scale Diagnostics) seeks a Firmware Engineer I to design and develop firmware in C/C++ and Python for advanced laboratory instruments. You will work with engineering and scientific teams to deliver state-of-the-art biodefense, clinical, and life sciences solutions.

The role requires hands-on embedded firmware experience, knowledge of real-time systems, and familiarity with ISO/cGMP standards. You will participate in test, alignment, and verification activities, supported by JTAG,

Qualifications

• Experience in design and development of embedded firmware.
• 2 years hands-on direct design experience or equivalent.
• Experience in medical devices or regulated industry preferred.
• Experience with C, C++, and Python.
• ISO or cGMP environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware in embedded C++ on ARM processors.
• Create Python test and alignment routines for Windows/Linux SBCs.
• Develop GUI applications to support firmware tests.
• Support verification, debugging with JTAG, scopes, and analyzers.
• Document intellectual property as needed.
