Job summary

Meso Scale Diagnostics (MSD) is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to join our engineering team. You will design and develop C++ firmware and Python software for state-of-the-art laboratory instruments used in biodefense, clinical, and life sciences markets.

You will follow MSD's firmware design and development process, work on real-time embedded systems on ARM processors, implement sensors interfaces, data processing, and GUI test utilities on Windows and Linux SBCs.

Qualifications

• Four years minimum experience in embedded firmware design and development.
• Experience with C++ and Python.
• ISO or cGMP environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow MSD's firmware design and development process.
• Develop embedded firmware in C++ for ARM processors with a real-time kernel.
• Develop tests and Python utilities for GUI and instrument testing.
• Instrument control: sensors, actuators, data processing, and USB/network interfaces.
• Support verification, debugging, and failure analysis using standard instruments.
• Document IP and participate in process improvement.
