Job summary

Lenovo in Morrisville, NC is seeking a DevOps/Automation Developer to join a Firmware Development Team and build CI/CD pipelines for BIOS/UEFI development on Linux or Windows.

You will collaborate with firmware engineers to maintain automated build tools, manage tool chains, and integrate with SCM and test frameworks to ensure healthy code through continuous integration in a fast-paced global tech environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years' minimum experience in build and test automation, CI, CD.
• Strong experience with Python language.
• Proficient with Git source control management system.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc. using configuration as code (CaC).
• Experience with Linux, Docker, and binary artifact repositories (Nexus, Artifactory).
• Experience with Jenkins, Jenkins Pipeline, and Jenkins Configuration as Code (JCasC).
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills; capable of creative problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with firmware engineers to create and maintain automated build pipelines.
• Maintain firmware build tools and tool chains for EDK2-based UEFI firmware.
• Integrate with SCM and automated test frameworks for CI-based quality.
