Fortinet, Inc. in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a QA Engineer to test a high-end firewall platform for data centers and carrier networks. The role combines manual and automated testing to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with Developers and QA teams, design test beds, write automation scripts in Python, and help grow test coverage. A BS/MS in CS/Engineering and 3+ years of QA experience are required, with strong TCP/IP and networking

Qualifications

3+ years of QA testing experience.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, DNS, DHCP, VPN, HA.
Familiar with Python scripting.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment and communicate well with other departments.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Performance functional testing on products using manual and auto-testing techniques.
Follow internal development, test and build processes.
Work closely with Developers, QA, and others to understand new features, use cases.
Identify, document, and track software defects found during testing.
Write and maintain automation scripts.
Passionate, motivated and always willing to learn and explore new technologies.
Good team player.
Design test beds, identify necessary equipment.
