REMEDI8 is seeking a Field Service Technician - Firestop in Seattle, WA. This role inspects, installs, and repairs firestop and smoke-stop systems to restore fire and smoke ratings in healthcare and commercial facilities, ensuring compliance with NFPA, IBC, and UL standards.

The position offers hourly pay of $26.00-$32.00, with 50% local Seattle work and 50% travel. Benefits include medical coverage, 401(k) match, paid time off, and per diem while traveling.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in firestop inspection, repair, or installation.
• Experience with commercial drywall repair & wall assemblies.
• Fire caulking or sealant application experience.
• Working knowledge of Life Safety Plans & NFPA standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair fire and smoke barriers per NFPA, IBC, and UL requirements.
• Install approved firestop systems to restore rated wall and floor assemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints and Life Safety Plans (LSPs).
• Perform drywall repair and wall assembly repair.
