LSS Life Safety Services is seeking a traveling Firestop Technician to inspect, install and repair firestop material in commercial and healthcare facilities across the United States. You will help facility managers meet NFPA and related safety standards, and provide documentation for code compliance.

The role requires travel, self-motivation, and strong customer-service skills. Candidates should have experience in related trades and be able to interpret life-safety drawings.

Qualifications

• Must provide own tools to perform on-site work.
• Experience in carpentry, drywall, and insulation is a plus.
• Experience with firestopping methodology is helpful.
• Ability to travel extensively across the U.S. and interpret life-safety drawings.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and install firestop materials per NFPA code.
• Inspect walls and barriers for compliance with NFPA standards.
• Provide accurate documentation for code compliance.
• Maintain professional communication with customers.
• Attend training sessions and perform additional duties as assigned.
