Job summary

REMEDI8 is seeking a Field Service Technician for firestopping, doors & dampers in Houston. This field-based role supports life safety compliance while working independently in customer facilities.

Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing firestopping systems, doors, and dampers, reading Life Safety Plans, and documenting results using tablet-based reporting. Travel is required with a focus on field service excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience in firestopping, fire doors, dampers, or life safety systems.
• Ability to read Life Safety Plans (LSPs) and work independently in facilities.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and use of hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair firestopping systems per NFPA, IBC, UL.
• Inspect fire-rated doors and dampers per NFPA.
• Perform minor repairs to doors, frames, hardware, and wall assemblies.
• Read construction drawings and Life Safety Plans.
• Document results using tablet-based reporting.
• Maintain tools and keep sites safe.
• Interact professionally with customers and teams.
• Travel between job sites and support multiple service lines.
