The successful candidate will come from HVAC, heat pump, or mechanical contracting backgrounds, excel in field coordination and training, and collaborate with sales, builders, and customers to deliver reliable,

Qualifications

• Strong field leadership experience in mechanical, HVAC, fireplace, or related construction work.
• Practical understanding of venting, mechanical layout, equipment installation, and jobsite coordination.
• Ability to manage installers, hold people accountable, and improve field performance.
• Strong safety mindset and attention to installation quality.
• Ability to read plans, review jobsite conditions, and identify potential installation issues before crews arrive.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fireplace installers to ensure installations are safe, efficient, and compliant with specifications and codes.
• Learn Rio Grande’s fireplace products, installation standards, and inspection requirements.
• Manage 15–20 installers, including daily performance, productivity, safety, and attendance.
• Review daily job photos, trip sheets, and installation notes with installers for quality and completion.
• Coordinate with scheduling to ensure accurate daily/weekly install routing and crew capacity.
• Conduct ride-alongs to improve field practices and training needs.
• Perform pre/post-job checks to reduce mistakes and callbacks.
