Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain EMS Level Clinical Authorization to practice from the EMS Medical Director.
• Certified by State of Texas as a Firefighter.
• Certified by Texas Department of Health as an EMT Basic.

Responsibilities

• Responds to alarm of fire or other emergencies with a pumper or ladder company.
• Lays and connects hoses; holds nozzles and directs fog or water streams.
• Climbs ladders and uses firefighting equipment during emergencies.
