Industrial Firefighter Paramedic - BASF (McIntosh, AL)

IMMEDIATELY HIRING! Industrial Firefighter Full-Time Opportunity

Salary: $20.32 per hour / $68,100 annually

Work Hours: 24-on, 48-off (A-B-C schedule)

We are hiring Industrial Firefighters with a passion for firefighting and a demonstrated commitment to cultivating a positive, collaborative work environment.

Job Summary:

Under direct supervision, trains for and participates in duties related to controlling and extinguishing fires; rescuing persons endangered by structural fires; preventing fire by reducing or eliminating potential hazards; responding to and providing assistance for medical aid calls, vehicle accidents, and Hazmat incidents.

This is a safety-sensitive position and is subject to the Company's and the Client's Industrial Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy, which includes: pre-employment, post-accident, random, reasonable suspicion, return-to-duty, and follow-up testing.

Examples of What You Will Do:

• Respond to fires promptly, safely, and skillfully, using hoses, nozzles, hand tools, or a combination thereof.
• Follow established procedures and instructions during emergencies.
• Use all relevant apparatus, tools, and equipment correctly and promptly.
• Remain calm and poised in emergency situations, gaining rapid control.
• Administer first aid within your training level.
• Analyze situations threatening life safety and apply appropriate treatment.
• Operate company vehicles and equipment safely as directed.

• Assist in maintaining fire and rescue apparatus, tools, and equipment in good, safe condition through maintenance and testing.
• Keep the company base, grounds, facilities, and supplies clean and orderly.
• Perform routine non-firefighting tasks, such as record-keeping, timecards, and paperwork.
• Work effectively as part of a team at emergency and non-emergency scenes.
• Meet physical requirements for firefighting tasks.
• Stay skilled in modern fire suppression tactics through training and drills.
• Project a positive professional image to clients.
• Follow policies and procedures effectively.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Certifications:

• Valid Driver's License
• Alabama Paramedic EMT certification
• CPR/AED credentials
• Additional certifications to obtain or possess:

• AL / IFSAC or Pro-Board Firefighter II
• Hazardous Materials Technician
• Driver/Operator - Pumper

• Completion of NIMS ICS-100, 200, 700, and 800 at time of hire

Experience:

• Ability to work any shift, including nights, holidays, weekends, and overtime, on emergency basis if needed

Education:

• High school diploma or GED

Licensing:

• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record; DUI within last 5 years is disqualifying
• Pass FBI fingerprint-based criminal history check for security badge
