Job summary

The City of Corinth is seeking Firefighter/Paramedics to operate under a 48/96 schedule, delivering firefighting, rescue and emergency medical services. Applicants must be enrolled in Paramedic school or be a Paramedic, with preference for Firefighter/Paramedic candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid Texas Class B driver license or ability to obtain one.
• Firefighter certification from Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP).
• Licensed or certified Paramedic from DSHS, or Firefighter/EMT pursuing Paramedic within 6 months with certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency alarms and calls; perform firefighting, rescue and EMS duties.
• Operate and maintain firefighting and medical equipment; coordinate with other responders.
• Inspect facilities, vehicles and equipment; ensure readiness and safety.
• Provide advanced life support and patient care; document actions and outcomes.
• Attend training to update skills; maintain physical fitness and professionalism.
