Job summary

The City of Moraine is seeking a Firefighter/Paramedic to perform fire suppression, rescue and emergency medical care. Under supervision, you will operate in a 24-hour shift cycle with 48 hours off between tours and rotate between medic and fire unit assignments.

Must hold Ohio EMT/Paramedic and Firefighter Level II certifications, be 18–40, and pass background and drug screening. The department offers tuition reimbursement, education incentives, and a strong pension program.

Qualifications

• Must be Ohio-certified EMT/Paramedic and Ohio Firefighter Level II at appointment.
• High school graduate or GED.
• Must be at least 18 and no older than 40 at appointment.

Responsibilities

• Fight and suppress fires; perform rescue and patient care.
• Provide emergency medical care and ambulance transportation.
• Work on 24-hour shifts with 48 hours off between tours.
• Rotate between medic and fire unit assignments.
• Follow safety rules and respond to alarms and EMS calls.
• Maintain equipment, station, and participate in drills.
