Qualifications

• Valid Texas Paramedic certification and Firefighter certification are required.

• If paramedic certification is not current, enrollment proof may be required to apply.
• National Registry Paramedic alone does not meet minimum requirements.

Responsibilities

• Answer fire, rescue, medical, and other emergency calls.
• Perform basic firefighting duties and operate equipment.
• Take charge of patient care in medical emergencies requiring paramedic training.
• Maintain and upgrade certifications; drive fire apparatus as needed.
• Participate in exams, training and physical fitness testing as required.
