Job summary

Keller Fire Rescue is seeking experienced Firefighter/Paramedics or Paramedics for lateral entry in Keller, TX. Applicants must hold Paramedic certification and Firefighter certification or enroll in Paramedic certification with intent to complete.

Sign-on and relocation incentives are offered, with additional steps for lateral entrants. Eligible candidates may advance through the City’s hiring process, including written and physical testing, panel interviews, and a potential Fire Chief

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic Firefighter certification required.
• EMT-Paramedic certification or license required in Texas.
• Maintain Paramedic Certification as a condition of employment.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Answer fire, rescue, medical, and other emergency calls.
• Perform basic firefighting tasks and rescue duties.
• Take charge of patient care in emergency medical situations.
• Drive ambulance and fire apparatus when qualified.
• Maintain and upgrade certifications and participate in required trainings.
