Job summary

Keller Fire Rescue is seeking experienced Firefighter/Paramedics for lateral entry. Starting annual pay is $80,496 plus applicable overtime. Candidates must hold Paramedic certification and Firefighter certification issued by Texas authorities and meet required licensing conditions.

Applicants with both certifications may be eligible for a step plan placement; a separate process includes written tests, physical agility, and panel interviews as part of the hiring sequence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• EMT-Paramedic certification required.
• Basic Firefighter certification from TCFP required.
• Paramedic certification must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.

Responsibilities

• Answer fire, rescue, medical, and other emergency calls.
• Operate as firefighter/paramedic to provide EMS and safety services.
• Drive and operate fire apparatus and emergency vehicles as qualified.
• Maintain and upgrade certifications and training as required.

Education

Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic certification

Basic Firefighter certification (TCFP)

Paramedic certification maintenance (ongoing)
