Job summary

The City of Cathedral City seeks Firefighter/EMT with strong field response skills to protect lives and property. You will respond to fires, medical emergencies, and other incidents while performing advanced life support in field settings.

Ideal candidates hold a CA Fire Marshal accredited academy, CPR, and Paramedic licensure, and must be willing to work shifts. Training, benefits, and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with completion of a CA State Fire Marshal accredited fire academy.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a CA driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
• Current/valid CPR certification and Paramedic certification/licensure with Riverside County eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fires, medical emergencies and other emergency and non‑emergency situations and take action to protect life and property.
• Perform advanced life support activities in the field and support department operations as assigned.
• Carry out related duties as required.

CPR certification

CA Driver's license

Shift work willing
