Job summary

Defense Logistics Agency in the United States is seeking a Firefighter (Paramedic) to serve as a fully trained member of a firefighting crew with a broad emergency response scope including medical and rescue operations.

Responsibilities include fire suppression, vehicle operation, advanced patient assessment, ECG interpretation, and assisting in advanced life support, with leadership in firefighting tasks and station maintenance.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in firefighting and emergency medical response.
• DoD DoD 6055.06-M aligned certifications required.
• State EMT-Paramedic and CPR certifications required.
• Must hold a valid state driver’s license and EVOC/Driver Operator training within two years.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fires and emergency medical incidents as part of a firefighting crew.
• Drive and operate firefighting apparatus and emergency vehicles.
• Perform advanced patient assessment and interpret ECGs when qualified.
• Assist paramedic personnel in advanced life support and lead firefighting activities as needed.
• Maintain station and equipment, participate in training and administrative duties.
