The Town of East Hartford is seeking dedicated and courageous individuals to join our Fire Department as Firefighters. This is your chance to become part of a team that plays a vital role in protecting lives, property, and the community.
As a Firefighter, you will respond to emergency situations, including fires, medical emergencies, hazardous material incidents, and rescue operations. Your responsibilities will include firefighting, providing emergency medical care, performing rescue operations, and conducting fire prevention education. This role requires exceptional teamwork, quick decision-making, and a commitment to public safety.
The East Hartford Fire Department (EHFD) is a dynamic, full-service operation that serves over 50,000 residents from five strategically located fire stations. EHFD delivers fire protection, rescue operations, and advanced Paramedic EMS services utilizing 5 ALS Engines, 2 Ladders, 1 Heavy Rescue unit, and a Command Car. Each shift is supported by a minimum staffing of 26 dedicated personnel.

·A valid Connecticut Paramedic License or National Registry Paramedic Certification.
