Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State Firefighter II Certification and EMT Certificate required.
• Must meet physical/psychological requirements and pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform fire prevention, suppression, and rescue activities at incidents.
• Respond to alarms and operate firefighting and emergency medical equipment.
• Maintain apparatus, equipment, and station readiness; document activities.
• Serve as incident commander in absence of an officer.
• Inspect buildings for fire prevention compliance.
• Attend meetings and stay current with fire/emergency practices.
• Meet safety standards and demonstrate reliable attendance.
• Collaborate with teams and other agencies as required.
