Job summary

Fort Bend County Emergency Services District No. 2 seeks a Full-Time Firefighter/EMT-Basic, with Paramedic preferred, for Katy, TX. The Willowfork Fire Department operates three stations with multiple apparatus and EMS coordination with Fort Bend EMS.

The position involves 24-hour shifts on a 48/96 schedule, responding to fires and medical calls, training, prevention work, and station maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must hold current TCFP Basic firefighter certification.
• EMT-Basic certification required by Texas health services.
• Read, write and speak English fluently; bilingual a plus.
• Must have NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800 certifications and pass required exams.

Responsibilities

• Respond to Fire and EMS incidents and public education events.
• Maintain equipment, station, and apparatus readiness daily.
• Complete records and reports of work performed.
