Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with physics/chemistry coursework.
• Technical schooling in electrical and/or mechanical operation preferred.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification required.
• At least 3 years of progressive gas plant experience or equivalent training.
• Knowledge of boilers, superheaters, exchangers, pumps, compressors, furnaces, and reactors.

Responsibilities

• Operate fired equipment and related systems, start/monitor/isolate equipment.
• Maintain steam pressures, temperatures, and flows within limits; report abnormalities.
• Perform preventative and non-complex repairs; conduct lubrication and cleaning tasks.
• Log readings and maintenance actions; input data into software as required.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and follow EH&S rules and procedures.
• Provide directions to trainees and supervise their progress; may direct housekeeping duties.
• Operate a scissors lift and perform related tasks as assigned.
