Job summary

Hawaii Gas is seeking a SNG Plant Fired Equipment Operator (FEO) to operate fired equipment for synthetic natural gas production at the SNG Plant in Kapolei, HI. The role includes startup/shutdown, monitoring, and routine maintenance with a clear progression path.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, CPR/AED certification, and at least three years in a gas plant setting, plus the ability to follow safety procedures and communicate clearly in English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with physics/chemistry coursework.
• Technical schooling in electrical/mechanical operation preferred.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certified.

Responsibilities

• Operate fired equipment and related systems, monitor and control boiler and process parameters.
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Maintain logs and reports, ensure safe, clean work area and comply with EH&S rules.
• Supervise trainees and provide instruction as needed.
• Operate scissor lift and support housekeeping and surveys.
