POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms is responsible for maintaining Counter Sales and Customer Service for Firearms along with Floor and Counter Sales of other Hunting Merchandise. They perform various selling/customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging all customers promptly and friendly, handling merchandise with care, and providing information, assistance, and direction to customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers. Provides a legendary experience for every customer by assisting in making buying decisions through:
  • Identifying and evaluating customers’ needs,
  • Making product recommendations based on this analysis,
  • Promoting programs including, but not limited to, CLUB membership, VOC, and In-Store Pickup.
• Ensures 4473 Forms are completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrates product features to customers.
• Organizes and maintains merchandise within the store for Gun Counter sales.
• Replenishes product on shelves as required per merchandising guidelines.
• Remains knowledgeable about products through ongoing training.
• Maintains awareness of advertised sales, pricing, and signage.
• Assists with seasonal merchandise moves.
• Keeps work area clean, neat, and well-stocked.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-2 years of retail experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Product knowledge of firearms and ammunition.
• Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Customer service and sales skills for firearms and ammunition.
• Knowledge of GCA regulations.
• Ability to merchandise and stock products.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Constant standing and walking during shifts.
• Occasional climbing ladders, stairs, and ramps.
• Frequent communication with others.
• Occasional repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Occasional operation of machinery, power tools, or motor vehicles.
• Light work involving moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly, and occasionally up to 100 pounds with team lift.
• Occasional work in confined spaces and noisy environments.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

Performs tasks under general supervision, using established procedures. Makes recommendations for work procedures, policies, and practices.
