Job summary

Winchester Ammunition is seeking an experienced Product Manager in Clayton, MO to lead strategy and performance for key product categories onsite. The role partners with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Manufacturing to launch products, align production with demand, and drive profitable growth.

Responsibilities include developing plans, monitoring market demand, setting targets, and coordinating with production to meet sales estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Engineering Management, Marketing, or related technical field preferred.
• Minimum five years of Product Development, Sales, or related experience.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; SAP and design software preferred.
• Must be highly engaged in pricing direction and product-line decision making.
• Understanding of inventory and manufacturing schedules and their impact on sales projections.
• Strong leadership, analytical abilities, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Self-motivated team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
• Valid driver’s license and travel about 10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop an annual business plan for assigned product categories, including volume targets and profitability goals.
• Obtain market demand intel and understand the competitive landscape.
• Set volume targets and profitability goals for all assigned product lines.
• Create and supply technical specifications and delivery estimates to support Sales.
• Coordinate with Production Planning to align capacity with sales targets.
• Track monthly sales performance and identify risks or opportunities.
• Drive new product ideation, naming, packaging, engineering support, and pricing.
• Oversight of Centerfire and Rimfire product management.
