Job summary

Winchester Ammunition is seeking a Financial Analyst II in Independence, MO to lead monthly forecasting, budgeting and cost reporting in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.

The role partners with production, finance and operations to analyze production cost trends and provide insights for business decisions, with a focus on close processes, inventory control and variance analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting or finance; manufacturing/defense preferred.
  • Strong GAAP knowledge; FAR/DFARS/CAS preferred.
  • Advanced Excel and ERP cost-reporting tools; Deltek Costpoint and Cognos desired.
  • Analytical, organizational and problem‑solving skills; effective communication and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • U.S. Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly forecasting/budgeting process.
  • Build and maintain forecasting models and reporting tools.
  • Support annual strategic planning.
  • Perform timely financial analysis to identify adjustments for GAAP integrity.
  • Provide actionable insights to management from financial/operational data.
  • Address data accuracy issues and assist audit responses (DCAA, local gov).
  • Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS/CAS and government contractor rules.
  • Assist in other analyses and reporting requests.
