Job summary

Qualifications

• Proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Demonstrated understanding and application of GD&T.
• Knowledge of stage gate product introduction methods.
• General understanding of configuration control principles.
• Must have working knowledge of MS Office applications. Knowledge of statistics and statistical software a plus.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills: demonstrated ability to work as part of a cross-functional team, but also able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for firearms product design and development of new gun products, line extensions, and product improvements.
• Generate and revise CAD drawings and models; component inspection; prototype build and product testing.
• Interface with manufacturing, process engineering, vendors to optimize for cost, quality, and performance.
• Manage bills of material and track component status.
• Coordinate with engineering and other Kimber functions to meet budgets and timelines.
• Prepare technical reports, design spreadsheets, and present analyses.
• Collaborate on assembly improvements for new and current designs and ensure on-time delivery.
