Kimber Mfg., Inc. in Troy, AL is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead manufacturing engineering initiatives, support new product introductions, and optimize processes for safety, quality and throughput.

Qualifications

5+ years of mechanical drawing experience related to the design and development of complex mechanical mechanisms.

Responsibilities

Define and develop manufacturing processes to support production of high-quality components.
Design fixtures, tooling, and gaues with CAD systems; apply DFM/DFMA and GD&T.
Create and maintain 2D drawings linked to 3D models with GD&T.
Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and material configurations.
Control design revisions within the Technical Data Package (CAD models, drawings, BOMs).
Lead cross-functional design and process reviews for manufacturability, quality and cost.
Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams to improve product flow.
Troubleshoot production floor issues and drive continuous improvement.
Evaluate and support capital equipment, automation, and new tech implementations.
Generate purchase requisitions for tooling and equipment.
Mentor junior engineers and staff.
