Job summary

Scheels Johnstown Retail Associate position in Colorado offers an opportunity to join a member-owned company with a strong focus on customer experience. You will greet customers, handle checkouts, and promote the Scheels Visa while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The role requires a minimum age of 21 and a high school diploma or GED, with 1–3 months cashiering experience preferred. Expect part-time hours (15–20 per week) with shifts across mornings and evenings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED, and/or 1-3 months of cashiering experience.
• Ability to sit, stand, lift up to 100 pounds and perform heavy work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers entering and exiting the store.
• Provide personalized service and promote digital receipt program.
• Accurately scan items and ensure proper payment at checkout.
• Bag merchandise carefully and efficiently.
• Promote Scheels Visa card and explain benefits.
• End transactions with a thank you.
• Process firearm returns/exchanges and complete background checks.
• Assist with Gun Room housekeeping and ATF compliance.
• Execute technology-based firearm transaction processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
