Job summary

Scheels in Wichita is seeking Gun Customer Service associates to greet customers and process transactions in a safe, compliant environment. The role requires 21+ and a friendly, helpful demeanor to ensure customers leave with a positive impression.

Responsibilities include firearm background checks, promoting Scheels Visa, assisting with Gun Room housekeeping, and maintaining safety standards. Schedule is varied, approximately 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, and/or 1-3 months of cashiering experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old due to firearm compliance.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers with a smile when entering and exiting the store
• Enhance the customer experience by engaging in conversation while providing personalized service and meeting the digital receipt goals
• Accurately scan every item customers are purchasing and ensure proper payment
• Promote the Scheels Visa card and explain benefits
• Process returns and exchanges for firearm purchases
• Complete firearm background checks
• All other duties as assigned
