Job summary
Chemeketa Community College invites applications for part-time Instructional Assistants to support the Fire program drill classes at our 22-acre Brooks, Oregon facility. Assist in instruction, prepare materials, and ensure safe use of industry-standard EMS equipment to help students achieve hands-on competency in emergency response.
Qualifications include an associate degree in a relevant field, seven+ years in emergency services, and current NFPA certifications.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Paramedicine, Fire Suppression, Criminal Justice or closely related field.
- Seven+ years of work experience in emergency services.
- Current active industry employment and current NFPA certifications listed.
Responsibilities
- Assist the instructor with instruction using developed curriculum and EMS tools.
- Prepare for instruction and use industry-standard equipment to support student success.
- Maintain safe working practices and ensure tools/equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Support in maintaining facilities and cleanup to meet program and industry standards.
- Help in the preparation of materials, supplies, and equipment for demonstrations.
