About the Role - The Technician responsibilities include operating and maintaining specialized lab equipment (furnace, afterburner, scrubber), troubleshooting failed tests, and reviewing firestop systems using resources like UL Product iQ and industry standards.

Work Environment - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a warehouse and laboratory environment. The noise level in the work environment can be very loud in the lab with testing equipment running as well as in the warehouse with heavy equipment running. This includes variable outside conditions such as extreme heat or cold. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type or dial, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires computer use. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
