Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven, and forward-thinking Project Specialist 2 to join our team. In this role, you will install, program, start up systems, certify, and train customers on assigned projects, including both small and large complex projects. What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”

1. Participate in our Recruit Awesome People program to help grow Convergint by promoting our colleague-first culture and referring top talent.
2. Install, program, test, repair, and service systems including security, fire alarm & life safety, and building automation systems, with guidance as needed. Serve as the key technical support and training contact for customers, maximizing satisfaction. Refer complex issues to higher-level colleagues.
3. Use blueprints, schematics, manuals, and specifications to determine installation procedures. Interpret manuals and diagrams, and repair equipment using electronics knowledge and standard tools.
4. Operate systems to demonstrate, commission, analyze performance, and identify malfunctions. Write routine programs for systems.
5. Maintain a customer-first approach, ensuring Convergint is the preferred service provider.
6. Consult with engineering to resolve system operation issues and warranty work.
7. Advise management on customer satisfaction, product performance, and potential improvements.
8. Handle technical aspects of multiple projects, including programming, start-up, certification, customer training, documentation, and support.
9. Identify project risks, communicate with stakeholders, and help develop strategies to minimize impacts and control costs and timelines.
10. Coordinate with Project and Operations Managers, recommend quality improvements, and suggest scope adjustments to enhance customer satisfaction.
11. Perform additional duties as required.

What You’ll Need

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure, proactively addressing customer needs.
• Willingness to learn technical skills related to fire alarm and electronic security systems.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, familiar with hand and power tools.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to travel locally; minimal overnight travel may be required.

• Access Control experience: AMAG, Lenel, Genetec, Software House - CCURE, S2
