Fresno City College invites applications for a Fire Instructor (Part-Time Faculty Pool) to deliver instruction across lecture, lab, and performance-based courses within the Fire Technology program. Qualifications

• Evidence of responsiveness to diverse backgrounds and equity-minded teaching.
• Qualifications must align with Fire Instructor standards and college credential requirements.
• Experience or ability to develop curriculum and assessment aligned to student learning outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Providing academic instruction to students through lecture, lab, or performance courses.
• Advising and instructing students regarding programs of study and further education.
• Maintaining accurate records of course enrollment, attendance, and progress.
• Updating syllabi and course materials in line with current theory and industry developments.
• Evaluating student progress through tests, assignments, and examinations.
• Communicating effectively with students and staff; collaborating with faculty on curriculum evaluation.

Education

Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of full-time equivalent professional experience; certifications: SFT/IFSAC/Pro Board Fire Instructor 1 or equivalent

Associate degree and six (6) years of full-time equivalent professional experience; certifications: SFT/IFSAC/Pro Board Fire Instructor 1 or equivalent

Valid California Community College Credential; or equivalent certifications
