Public Storage is seeking a Fire Systems Program Manager to oversee fire alarm, sprinkler, pump and extinguisher systems across our portfolio. You will manage inspections, code violations, and upgrade projects, coordinating with Operations, Facilities, and third-party partners to ensure compliance and timely delivery.

The role emphasizes strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management, with travel up to 20% and a mix of in-office and flexible remote work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in project or program management.
• Experience and knowledge within the trade required, ideally 3+ years.
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Experience with scheduling, cost awareness, and contract administration.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to drive work through completion across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate fire systems repair and upgrade projects from planning through completion
• Manage fire systems compliance, violations, and inspection deficiencies across the portfolio
• Serve as the main point of contact for AHJs and internal stakeholders on violation-related issues
• Track work orders, documentation, timelines, and project status in internal systems
• Collaborate with Operations, Facilities, and other teams to drive corrective action
• Monitor budgets, schedules, and project progress to ensure timely completion
• Identify recurring issues and help convert them into structured projects
