Job summary

RapidFire Safety & Security LLC is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Project Manager to oversee planning, execution, and completion of fire alarm system installations and upgrades for mid-size commercial projects. The role requires deep knowledge of fire alarm codes (NFPA 72, IBC, IFC) and the ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in fire alarm installation and project management
• Experience with mid-size commercial/building projects
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and related standards
• Ability to read blueprints and technical specs
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Willingness to travel to project sites

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage fire alarm installation projects from inception to completion
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 72, IBC, IFC and local codes
• Coordinate integration with building controls (smoke, access, emergency comms)
• Collaborate with electrical contractors, architects, and engineers
• Review plans and specs for accurate design and installation
• Maintain schedules, budgets, change orders, and progress reports
• Provide regular client updates and address concerns
• Mentor project team and promote safety-focused work environment
